I met Rachel and Steven at Old Town Alexandria’s waterfront at zero-dark thirty for their engagement session. Rachel is a Landscape Architect from Ohio and Steven, who is from Michagan just so happens to be a brother of mine, in other words, he is a Marine. They spend a lot of time in Old Town Alexandria as Rachel lives close by. Old Town Alexandria holds a lot of memories for these two, so when they told me this is where they wanted their engagement session to take place, I conviced them that the crack of dawn would be the most ideal time on a Sunday. You could almost say that we had the place to ourselves!
These two were so natural in front of the camera and I was eating it up! They needed little direction and I’m almost positive that Steven is even better at the fake laugh than I am. We started at the waterfront, then made our way through a few side streets and ended in Market Square.
Afterwards we met with Rachel’s mom and sister at Jones Point Park. They brought along Rachel and Steven’s fur baby, Miss Daisy! We walked along one of the trails and grabbed some photos of the three of them together as one happy little family. Rachel and Steven have a love for the outdoors and this was a great way to incorporate that into their engagement session
I can’t wait for their Maryland Wedding in October! For now, I hope you enjoy their images.
