I met Anna and James at Leesylvania State Park for their anniversary session. The weather was perfect and the park was overflowing with families. We were lucky that as it got closer to sunset families started to make their way home. Anna and James have a love story that I can relate to. They met while James was stationed at Fort Belivor. After James separated from the Army he moved back home to Florida putting miles and states between them. Anna made the 12 hour drive to visit James once or twice a month and after two years, moved down to Florida to be with James. But fate brought the back to the National Capital Region. I was so lucky to photograph this milestone celebrating their first year of marriage! James was such a goofball and I love the smiles and laughs it brought Anna. They we’re so easy to photograph together.
